My Post Thoughts
I really enjoyed this movie! It's set during covid lockdown with a group of friends performing a seance over zoom. The while movie is like if you screen recorded a zoom meeting. It definitely took me back to 2020, having to use zoom more often (I had a prom celebration over zoom ;-;)
I was really tense and anxious the whole time lol. Just from simple things like NONE OF THE CHARACTERS HAVING THEIR BACK TO A WALL or THEIR DAMN BEDROOM DOORS BEING OPEN T-T Actually had me so nervous and the spirit didn't show up yet. Like girls PLEASE!! That's bad fucking positioning man. You are not gonna catch me lacking like that so somebody can say, "what's that behind you?" Sorry no, it's just a wall :]
I really like how there was minimal jump scares though. I'd say they're only in the last 30-15 minutes of the film, the rest was just me digging my fingers into my seat because I was so TENSE. They did such a great job at making you uneasy throughout the film.
Also can I just say, Gemma is a real friend!! She saw her friend getting dragged on that zoom call, ran to her apartment, busted, that window, and started looking for her. I almost forgot she was still alive but then she popped up again like, "OH YEAH GEMMA TO THE RESCUE"
Overall, I think it was a pretty good movie. I need to drag my friends into a group call so we can watch it together one night lol. Also you HAVE to watch it on a laptop of computer for maximum effect hehe.
